• "Don’t ever put yourself in a compromising situation with someone you think you know. Give very few people the benefit of the doubt. Very few. It’s not safe to assume what someone won’t do. ‘Cause a lot of them will. With no hesitation and no remorse. Can you promise me you'll do that?" -Bad Blood

  • In the strangest of moods, Jamela wandered through the trees in her backyard, listening as the grass brushed against her sneakers. The sound soothed; much more placating than the stillness waiting in her house.
  • Sure, she could switch on the t.v. and listen to the voices drone from it, selling their products and urging her to tune in to their contrived programs. The pushy advertisers imposing themselves through t.v. sets and the mimicry of the programming didn’t appeal to her at the moment.
  • It was all just an imitation of real life. The masses wanted to emulate their favorite stars and starlets when in reality the livelihood of a thespian hinged on how well they could play the role of a “regular” person and bring their plight to life. Twists and turns…highs and lows…
  • On this day Jamela just couldn’t muster the feeling necessary to find the “entertainment” in it all. Her perspective wouldn’t allow for the suspension of disbelief.

Many wanted to believe mere thought would move like magic in their lives, making ways out of no way. Though he liked the concept of the theory, he realized there was no way around hard work and if there was, the subsequent success from it would not last for very long. Even if one had the talent to make the hardest things look easy, at some point they would have to apply their self."
